BioAtlantis Highlights First-Year Progress in the EU-Funded VASEACAD Project (07/07/2026)

Tuesday 7 July 2026

BioAtlantis is pleased to share the first edition of the VASEACAD project newsletter, showcasing the key milestones, activities and achievements from the project's first year. VASEACAD is a €1.6 million EU-funded collaborative research project involving BioAtlantis, Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) and eight other European partners. The project is developing innovative bioprocessing technologies to transform seafood side streams, residues and unwanted catches into high-value bioactive ingredients. By unlocking the value of marine by-products, VASEACAD is helping to advance Europe's circular blue economy through sustainable innovation, resource efficiency and the development of high-value bio-based products.

The newsletter reflects the strong collaboration between TU Dublin, BioAtlantis and the wider European consortium, highlighting research advances, technical progress and the shared commitment to delivering sustainable solutions for the blue bioeconomy. Highlights from the first year also include a consortium visit to BioAtlantis' production facilities, providing valuable insights into industrial-scale bioprocessing and strengthening collaboration among project partners.
